✳ THE STORY BEHIND THE BIRD

Small pauses.
No big promises.

We made Kukushka for the days when your mind has twelve tabs open and every single one is making noise.

01 / WHY A CUCKOO?

Because minds can get noisy.

In plenty of places, a cuckoo is more than a bird: it's a little symbol of commotion, surprise, and the unexpected. We liked the idea of turning that into something kind.

Our cuckoo doesn't need you to be productive. It just pops out to remind you to land for a moment.

02 / WHAT'S THE POINT?

Make a little room.

Some days you need a walk. Some days you need a conversation. And sometimes you only have thirty seconds between two very loud things.

Kukushka offers tiny moments you can take with you: a slower breath, a gentle check-in, or a short read. No streaks and no scores.

03 / YOUR PRIVACY

Just you and this page.

The little activities run in your browser. We don't ask for an account, upload your mood selection, or store your breathing session on a server.

This site uses no third-party scripts, analytics trackers, external fonts, or cookies. The page itself is a small collection of static files.

04 / A GENTLE NOTE

We're not therapy.

These pages are for everyday pauses and general wellbeing. They cannot diagnose, treat, or replace professional mental health care.

If you're struggling, reaching out to someone you trust or a qualified professional is a stronger next step than any website could be.

THE CUCKOO IS HOME

Fancy a tiny reset?

You're welcome to stay for thirty seconds or a whole cup of tea.
